Pictish/Celtic Triskelion Tattoo
Well Hannibal at Eccentric Tattoos in San Miguel, Lima did me this lovely design of a celtic style band encircling a pistish triskelion swirl. It took 6 hours to complete but was worth every second, I love it!!!!

Volunteering in Pisco, Peru
Post earthquake reconstruction work in Pisco. Building houses in rural villages outside Pisco, Peru, which were hard hit by the 8.0 earthquake last month.

Amazing day spent looking around the vast site that is Caral, 5000+ year old city in the desert (Supe Valley) just north of Peru. Thanks to Juan and Juan for taking me with them in their 4 wheel drive jeep, or i would never have made it!

Met Jaun and Jaun lookiing at the ancient battle carvings on the pyramid at Chevin temple andthen they took pity on a poor traveller and took me with them for the next few days, rattling around inthe back of their landrover theru the desert to see many an amazing place! Chanquillo fortress ((2000 yrs old) was amazing (not a soul there otehr than us), then we headed south on the Pan Americana highway, drove up and down the beach for a while and caught the sunset at Paramonga. Fab day!

Huaraz and Chavin de Huantar
Day trip from Huaraz to Yungay and Llanganucho, ushered about with the pother flocks of tourists, which i mostly hated but put up with cos it was the only way to get transport. Then headed off on my own on local transport to see Chavin de Huantar, arrived well before any other tourists and scrambled about in the tunnels inside the pyramid on my own, having a great time! Also pix of another daytrip to Wilkahuain and Ichic Wilkahuain, where I met a film crew and hitched a lift with them for a while.

Day out from Merida: Trip to Paramo area with a group from my hostel. First stop La Musui Thermal Springs (and quite a hike to get there, but well worth it). Next stop Juan Felix Sanchez´chapel in San Rafael de Mucuchíes, then on to the highlands between Lago Mucubaji and Laguna Negra with a final stop at the Condor Refuge at Mifafi before returning to Merida. Great day!!

Mochima National Park and Playa Vallecito near to Cumana, Venezuela. Spent a lovely couple of nights with my hammock slung between two palm trees (or in one case inside a closed restaurant). Beautiful, but about as much beach as I can take (72 hours solid)!
