Well Hannibal at Eccentric Tattoos in San Miguel, Lima did me this lovely design of a celtic style band encircling a pistish triskelion swirl. It took 6 hours to complete but was worth every second, I love it!!!!

A hectic long weekend travelling thousands of miles by bus to see condors in Colca Canyon and visit seveal islands in Lake Titicaca.

Amazing day spent looking around the vast site that is Caral, 5000+ year old city in the desert (Supe Valley) just north of Peru. Thanks to Juan and Juan for taking me with them in their 4 wheel drive jeep, or i would never have made it!

Met Jaun and Jaun lookiing at the ancient battle carvings on the pyramid at Chevin temple andthen they took pity on a poor traveller and took me with them for the next few days, rattling around inthe back of their landrover theru the desert to see many an amazing place! Chanquillo fortress ((2000 yrs old) was amazing (not a soul there otehr than us), then we headed south on the Pan Americana highway, drove up and down the beach for a while and caught the sunset at Paramonga. Fab day!

Day trip from Huaraz to Yungay and Llanganucho, ushered about with the pother flocks of tourists, which i mostly hated but put up with cos it was the only way to get transport. Then headed off on my own on local transport to see Chavin de Huantar, arrived well before any other tourists and scrambled about in the tunnels inside the pyramid on my own, having a great time! Also pix of another daytrip to Wilkahuain and Ichic Wilkahuain, where I met a film crew and hitched a lift with them for a while.

Celendin to Leymebamba in a small bus, horse trek to La Congona, 4 day trek to Karajia, Valle de Belen, La Piriquilla, Lancha, Gran Vilaya and Kuelap (through cloud rainforest covered mountains and jungle clad valleys on foot, horseback and a little mini bus).

El Brujo, Magdalena del Cao, Cajamarca, Los Frailones, Cumbe Mayo, Ventanillas de Otuzco & Peruvian Swiss cheese production!! Plus Emily practising her Quechuan language skills...

Food preparation, monkey cuddles ( i mean breakfast time), lion enclosure building and an evening of partying... a nice last day at the Santa Martha Animal Rescue Centre.

Lots of pictures from a day doing chores and work at the Santa MArtha Animal Rescue Centre, then the next day Morwenna got up early and took my camera to photograph the big cats.. then we all blearily fed the animals (yes, thats me still in my pyjamas with monkies scrambling all over me). Tambillo, Ecuador.

The Equator, museum at Equator, shrunken heads, pyramids, volcanic craters, watching night fall over Quito from a cafe on a hillside and then walking around the streets of the old town with friends at night.

Day out from Merida: Trip to Paramo area with a group from my hostel. First stop La Musui Thermal Springs (and quite a hike to get there, but well worth it). Next stop Juan Felix Sanchez´chapel in San Rafael de Mucuchíes, then on to the highlands between Lago Mucubaji and Laguna Negra with a final stop at the Condor Refuge at Mifafi before returning to Merida. Great day!!

Spent a lovely few days staying with Eilyn and Eric (couch surfing hosts) in the resort of playa el agua on the NW coast of la isla margarita.

Mochima National Park and Playa Vallecito near to Cumana, Venezuela. Spent a lovely couple of nights with my hammock slung between two palm trees (or in one case inside a closed restaurant). Beautiful, but about as much beach as I can take (72 hours solid)!

Orinoco River and Delta, Venezuela. Views of the Orinoco River from Ciudad Guyana and Tucupita. Not as many as I had hoped though, as I couldnt find a river tour from Tucupita.

Huge cave near to Caripe, Venezuela which thousands of oil birds live in! Unfortunately I cant share my sound files, but believe me, they make the most god-awful noise!

Didn´t take my camera out and about with me in Caracas for security reasons, so the only pictures I have are of my couch surfing hosts. Thanks to Rebeca, Isa, Sofia and Rosio for a lovely few days :-)
