Fab day! Then headed off on my own on local transport to see Chavin de Huantar, arrived well before any other tourists and scrambled about in the tunnels inside the pyramid on my own, having a great time! Also pix of another daytrip to Wilkahuain and Ichic Wilkahuain, where I met a film crew and hitched a lift with them for a while. I am suffering from a sunburnt bum from snorkelling the day before, so my first time on horseback for many years is not an entirely great experience, but the view is incredible, so its all worthwhile! First stop La Musui Thermal Springs (and quite a hike to get there, but well worth it). Next stop Juan Felix Sanchez´chapel in San Rafael de Mucuchíes, then on to the highlands between Lago Mucubaji and Laguna Negra with a final stop at the Condor Refuge at Mifafi before returning to Merida.
